WHAT IS OPERATION WANTED?
Operation Wanted (OW) is a major and successful annual desexing initiative marking the collaboration of local councils, local participating veterinary clinics and RSPCA Queensland.
It runs from June 1 to August 31 and has run for the last five years. It involves participating veterinary clinics offering 20% discount on desexing for the three month period.
It has resulted in over 80,000 animals being desexed, therefore preventing the birth of at least 500,000 potentially unwanted animals throughout Queensland that would likely end up in council pounds or at the RSPCA.
Cat over-population is a known issue in the community and can no longer be ignored. IT’S TIME TO TAKE ACTION!
